Lee County Sheriff's Report Monday, February 11, 2013
FEBRUARY 4TH
2013
A motorist reported that he located a
truck that had struck a tree on CR 208. He stopped to see
if anyone was hurt but no one was inside the vehicle.
Deputy Liles searched the area to see if the driver was walking
along the roadway. DPS Trooper Manner was notified of the
incident.
A second caller advised that the wrecked
truck was near her drive way on CR 208. Dispatch advised
her that no one was located inside or near the vehicle.
She requested that someone check her sheds to make sure no one
was hiding in them. Deputy Carvin responded and searched
the property but no one was located.
Chief Deputy Lapham and Deputy Ledenbach
met with a complainant on CR 133. A report was taken for
criminal trespass and terroristic threat.
A female caller reported that she had an
argument with her boyfriend and he began to hit the wall and
scream. Deputy Ledenbach spoke to both parties and
separated them for the night.
Deputy Ledenbach assisted Giddings Police Dept. in attempting to
locate a juvenile runaway last seen walking northbound from the
high school.
FEBRUARY 5TH
2013
Milam County requested assistance in
locating a gray Toyota Camry that was last seen heading towards
Lee County on Hwy 77. The driver of the vehicle was
involved in an assault in their county. The vehicle was
located near Hwy 21 @ Hwy 77. Milam County took over the
vehicle stop.
Sheriff Meyer assisted at a disturbance
call on Hwy 21 in Dime Box. A female and her child were
transported to the Sheriff’s Office for assistance.
A resident on CR 430 in Dime Box called
and reported that his house had been broken into. Deputy
Ledenbach took a theft report. Investigation continues at
this time.
FEBRUARY 6TH
2013
A motorist reported that she ran out of
gas on Hwy 21 @ Hwy 77 and needed to go to the hospital.
Deputy Crockett gave her a courtesy ride to get gas for her
vehicle.
Deputy Crockett met with a complainant
on Meadow Run Dr. in Elgin after he reported that someone had
stolen his property from his residence. A report was
taken.
FEBRUARY 7TH
2013
A complainant reported that she was
attacked and assaulted by a co-worker at the MHMR house on CR
227. Deputy Crockett spoke to both parties involved and
took a report.
A motorist reported that he saw a young
female sitting in the bar ditch on CR 326 just off FM 112.
She appeared to be upset and when he asked if she was ok she
advised that her mom had kicked her out of their house.
Deputy Allen searched the area but the juvenile had left the
area.
FEBRUARY 8TH
2013
The Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1
hang up call from CR 135 in Lincoln. Deputy Rudolph was
dispatched to the address and advised it was a child custody
argument. The matter was settled for the night.
Deputy Carvin and Deputy Ledenbach responded to a residential
burglar alarm on Hwy 21 West.
A complainant reported to Deputy
Ledenbach that her daughter took her vehicle without permission.
A report was taken and the vehicle was entered into TCIC/NCIC as
a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered by Harris
County. The vehicle had been involved in an accident in
their county.
Deputy Crockett was dispatched to a
burglary of a residence on CR 118. A report was taken and
investigation continues at this time.
A tenant at Westwood Villa Apartments
reported a vehicle in the parking lot was blaring music.
Deputy Ray checked the area but advised the music had ceased.
FEBRUARY 9TH
2013
Deputy Carvin met with a complainant on
CR 233. He reported that someone broke into a building and
stole several items. A report was made.
A caller reported that two small
children walked into her residence. She has been trying to
talk to them but they will not speak to her. Deputy
Ledenbach went to her residence but there were no children
there. The daughter in law showed up to assist and advised
she is taking her to the doctor on Monday to get her mother in
laws medication straightened out.
A motorist reported that a male is
walking in the traffic lanes on Hwy 290 East. Deputy
Crockett located the subject and advised him to stay off the
road.
FEBRUARY 10TH
2013
A caller reported that a guy jumped all
over his daughter. Deputy Carvin and Deputy Ledenbach met
with the parties involved. No one wanted to file any
charges.
Deputy Ledenbach was dispatched to put some cows up on Hwy 21.
