The Giddings boys soccer team recorded their first district win of the season by beating 4A Lockhart 3-1 in Giddings on Tuesday, February 5.

According to Coach Rick Zamora this was the first time, since the start of the soccer program at Giddings High School, that the Buffs have beaten a 4A district opponent.

Chris Orocio, Erik Contreras, and Mike Rangel all scored for the Buffs. A great defensive effort was lead by Ivan Reyes, Macain Proske, and Joey Satterfield.

Giddings is now 1-2 in district play and 4-5 overall. The Buffs will travel to Lehman this Friday and will face the district leader Cedar Creek at home next Tuesday at 5:00 P.M.
