Police arrest man on drug charges, numerous outstanding traffic warrants

Giddings Police arrested a man last Monday for Possession of a Controlled Substance (3<28 Grams) and numerous outstanding warrants.

Nicholas Dwayne Rogers, age 23 of Giddings, was arrested at approximately 12:50 P.M. after he was seen by Officer Anthony Ramirez walking through the Northwest Simmang Park. Officer Ramirez was on patrol at the time and reported that he knew Rogers prior to the incident.

Rogers who was taken into custody also had 10 outstanding traffic warrants by the Giddings Municipal Court. Rogers was transported to the Lee County Sheriff's Department where he was processed and released to the jail staff.
